Tampa's iBoss Advertising and Provoke Art Back USF's Alumni Society of Entrepreneurs Benefit Event
TAMPA, May 18, 2016 (Newswire.com) - On Friday, May 20, the University of South Florida’s Alumni Society of Entrepreneurs will host its 5th annual Tampa Bay Entrepreneurship Gala benefiting the Michael W. Fountain Scholarship Fund. iBoss Advertising and Provoke Art have proudly contributed to the organization in its endeavor to recognize the Bay Area’s most outstanding business leaders and entrepreneurs.
The Havana Nights themed event will feature exciting casino games and a unique silent auction, where guests can bid on items from local artisans and businesses. Provoke Art, founded by USF alumna Dana Blickensderfer, who studied Mass Communications at the university and graduated in the spring of 2010, will donate an original painting to be auctioned at the gala. The piece will conceptualize Blickensderfer’s mission to provoke thought and emotion through her artwork and the vision for the event to shed light on the Tampa area as a growing business hub.

In her time at USF, Blickensderfer learned professional communication techniques and developed meaningful relationships that have helped propel her as a bay area entrepreneur and businesswoman. As an entrepreneur, alumna, and artist, the event is important to Blickensderfer as it recognizes the hard work that like-minded professionals have contributed to the building and betterment of Tampa Bay.

The society’s 5th annual Tampa Bay Entrepreneurship Gala will be held at the Centre Club on Friday, May 20. The evening’s events will begin with cocktails at 7:00 PM, followed by games, a live auction, and finally, the presentation of awards. The Alumni Association will tie in its Havana Nights theme by honoring Keynote Speaker Richard Gonzmart, hospitality industry veteran and legacy of the world famous Columbia Restaurant. Ella Bling, who donates the proceeds from her business to the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, will be recognized by the organization as the Social Entrepreneur of the Year.
The gala’s proceeds will be donated to the Michael W. Fountain Endowed Scholarship Fund to continue to offer financial assistance to Tampa area entrepreneurial students, aspiring to contribute to the Bay’s business community. Previous scholarship winners will be recognized, and the winner of this year’s award will be announced at the gala.
